We present to you : Jac and Josephine

A New Milestone for Santhie Bamba: Jac and Josephine Have Arrived! During our visit to the village of Santhie Bamba in November 2025, we witnessed firsthand the transformative power of water. Thanks to the solar-powered well—realized with the support of our sponsors—a beautiful vegetable garden is now flourishing, and the living conditions for the women in the village have improved immensely. Education for More Children The garden generates extra income, which has paved the way for the first steps toward education. A donkey cart was already transporting ten children to the primary school in nearby Bambadala, four kilometers away. However, we noticed this wasn't enough: on school days, too many children were still being left behind in the village. Doubling Capacity Thanks to Your Support The village chief’s request was clear: more transport was needed. Thanks to the generous support of our network, we were able to achieve this goal immediately. Today, Santhie Bamba is celebrating! A second cart is ready, and we have welcomed two new helpers: donkeys Jac and Josephine. Thanks to them, even more children can now brave the sandy path to school every day. The euphoria and gratitude in the village are overwhelming. Together, we are making a world of difference.

Renovation Project School Bambadala

New Hope for Bambadala Primary School Thanks to Belgian Support In the village of Bambadala, near Shantie Bamba—where a water well was previously built with support from The Larry Foundation—a major step has recently been taken to improve education. The local primary school, which serves children aged 6 to 12 across three classrooms, was in a dire state. During a visit in February 2025, it became clear that students were learning in extremely poor conditions: the floors were made of compacted dirt, and the school benches were cracked, splintered, and uncomfortable. Thanks to the generous support of Linssen Yachts from Maasbracht, the entire school floor was renovated and replaced with durable concrete tiles. In addition, The Larry Foundation funded the complete refurbishment and reupholstering of all school benches. The impact has been remarkable: since the renovation, the number of students has increased by 30%—a hopeful sign in a region where the illiteracy rate remains around 95%. This collaboration demonstrates how targeted support can make a direct and lasting difference in the lives of children in vulnerable communities.
